This needs a Shelly relay to actually switch anything — right now, Shelly 1PM Gen3 is the one this integration is built for and supports (a second supplier may join this list later, but none does yet). For a heat pump, the relay needs two potential-free (dry) contacts, such as Shelly Pro 2. Learn more about how this works → Which relay to buy →
Before you press Connect
- Install the Shelly Smart Control app on your phone. Open the App Store or Google Play app itself and search for it — a store link opened in a browser may only show “Share”.
- Create a Shelly account in the app. You will log in with this same account in step 5.
- Add every device to the app — relays and sensors (for example a Shelly H&T for room temperature) — on your 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi. Install any firmware update the app offers and keep Cloud switched on.
- Check each device works in the app: the relay switches, the power reading shows, the sensor shows a temperature. Relays on fixed appliances are installed by a qualified electrician.
- Choose the type above, tick the confirmations and press Connect. On Shelly’s page, log in, select all your devices, sensors included, and allow control.
- Back here, the devices appear under Connected Devices. Choose what each one does; put a room sensor under Monitor → Sensor in the same household as the heater it controls.
SaveElectro never controls a device you haven't explicitly connected here, and you can disconnect at any time from your Shelly account. You'll need a Shelly device and account already set up — the button below takes you to Shelly's own login, which doesn't offer sign-up directly.
