SaveElectro keeps an eye on your water pipes, heating and sauna, and tells you at any time of day when something needs you.
SaveElectro never switches frost protection or saunas off. It watches them and alerts you.
In a Finnish winter, water and sewer pipes are often protected by a heating cable and a heat blower in the compartment where the pipes enter the house. When they work, nobody notices. When a cable breaks or a breaker trips, nobody notices either — until the pipe freezes, somewhere a metre and a half underground.
SaveElectro watches the things you can't see from the city: whether the pipe protection is drawing power while it is freezing, whether the cottage is warm enough, and whether the sauna was left on.
Everything at the cottage on one screen, and a message the moment something is wrong.
Metering on the pipe heating cable or blower. If it draws almost no power for 30 minutes while it is freezing, you get an alert — and another when power returns.
Probes in the pipe compartment, the cottage or the crawl space. Alerts when a reading goes below or above your limit (too cold in winter, too hot in a summer heat wave), and again when it recovers.
Add up to three people per home: a neighbour who has the key, a family member nearby, the person who looks after the cottage. They get the same alerts by email. Premium.
If a sensor stops reporting — a flat battery, a lost connection — you hear about it instead of trusting an old reading.
An alert once if the sauna has been on longer than you allow. SaveElectro only measures it; the heater's own safety devices stay in charge.
While you are away, chosen lights come on in the evening and go off at bedtime, a little differently every day.
A message if a motion sensor sees movement while the household is away. A notification service, not a certified alarm.
A Shelly meter or relay with power metering on its circuit, fitted by an electrician. SaveElectro only reads it and never switches it off.
DS18B20 probes on a Shelly Plus Add-on (up to five per device), or a battery Shelly H&T sensor in a room.
The devices report through the Shelly cloud. If the connection drops, the silent-sensor alert tells you that readings have stopped.
Watching and alerts work with any contract — no exchange-price contract needed.
Never. Turning frost protection off to save a few euros is not worth a frozen pipe. SaveElectro only measures it and alerts you.
Then the devices can't report. You get a "no reading" alert after the time you choose, so you know the cottage has gone quiet and can check it.
No. It's a notification service that tells you when readings cross your limits. It is not a certified alarm, and insurers won't treat it as one.
Only if you allow it. Emergency alerts (frost protection without power, a room or pipe compartment too cold or too hot, a sauna left on, a freezer that stopped, a water pump running too long) may come during your quiet hours if you allow it in Settings; it is on unless you turn it off. Everything else from your devices waits for one summary when your quiet hours end. Each family member or caretaker chooses the same for themselves.
One probe and one meter protect the most expensive thing that can go wrong at a cottage in winter.
