1. Who we are and what the service does
1.1The service is provided by Terve Elo Oy, business ID 2549108-8, c/o Yritystoiminnan Ratkaisijat, Olavinkatu 52, 57100 Savonlinna, Finland ("SaveElectro", "we").
1.2SaveElectro Automation is software. It reads electricity prices and your settings, and sends on/off requests to Shelly devices that you have connected: through your own Shelly account, or directly from the device to SaveElectro (for example a Price Light plug, or a sensor that sends its own readings). It can also read measurements and send you alerts.
1.3We do not install or change fixed wiring or configure your electrical installation, and we are not an electrical contractor. When you buy a device from us, the sale is covered by our Refund and Returns Policy; these terms cover how SaveElectro switches and reads it.
2. What you must do before connecting a device
2.1Have the device installed by a qualified electrician who is authorised to do the work in your country. Do not install or change fixed wiring yourself.
2.2Check that the appliance suits external switching. Read its manual. If the manual forbids supplying it through a timer, remote-control system or other external switch, do not connect it.
2.3Keep the appliance's own safety devices in place and working: thermostat, overheat protection, residual-current breaker and any door or water-level sensor. SaveElectro does not replace them, and you must not bypass them. This duty lasts for as long as the appliance is connected, not only on the day you confirm. Every heater and floor-heating circuit must have its own working thermostat: it limits the temperature, for example when a room sensor stops reporting.
2.4Make sure the relay and any contactor are rated for the appliance's load.
2.5Keep heaters fixed, unobstructed and never covered. Do not connect portable heaters.
2.6If you do not own the property or the appliance, get the owner's permission. Tell everyone who lives or works there that the appliance may start and stop automatically.
2.7If anything changes — you replace or move the appliance, remove or bypass a thermostat or other safety device, a safety device fails, or someone else alters the installation — stop automation for that appliance on the Automation page until it is safe again, and confirm it again. SaveElectro cannot see or test your appliance and cannot detect such changes; it relies on your confirmations.
3. Appliances
3.1Supported today: water heaters; room heating with fixed convectors or floor heating that has its own thermostat; charging of a standalone battery that has its own charge controller; heat pumps through their SG Ready input (signal contacts only); a Price Light plug in "Power when cheap" for plug-in appliances that My price lights lists as suitable; and watching meters and sensors (reading only, never switching).
3.2Do not connect any other appliance. In particular: sauna heaters, washing machines, dishwashers, dryers, EV chargers, integrated home batteries, heat pumps by cutting their power supply, and any appliance whose manufacturer forbids automatic switching.
4. How the automation behaves
4.1We send requests based on price data and your settings. Your appliance's own controls still decide whether it actually heats or charges.
4.2The automation is designed so that if we lose contact with a device, it returns to a default state within about 15 minutes: heaters on, battery charging off, heat pump in normal operation. This depends on the device, its firmware and your network, and is not guaranteed.
4.3You can override or disconnect any device at any time, in the Automation page or in your Shelly account.
4.4SaveElectro is not a safety system or an alarm. If you notice heat, smell, noise or damage, first switch the appliance off and disconnect it from the mains, then disconnect it from SaveElectro.
4.5If the room sensor a heater uses sends no reading for 3 hours, the heater heats by price only, at most 1 hour at a time with 30-minute pauses, until readings return, and we tell you. The heater's own thermostat limits the temperature meanwhile.
5. No guarantees
5.1We do not promise savings, comfort or correct prices. Prices come from third-party sources and may be late or wrong.
5.2The service may be interrupted by maintenance, network failures or other reasons outside our control.
6. Liability
6.1Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our fault, and mandatory product-liability rules.
6.2Subject to 6.1, and as far as the law allows, we are not liable for loss or damage caused by installation or wiring faults, faulty or unsuitable appliances, use against a manual, covered or obstructed heaters, an appliance or safety device that was not in the condition you confirmed, or failure to follow clause 2.
6.3Subject to 6.1, we are not liable for indirect loss, including lost savings and higher electricity bills.
6.4Subject to 6.1, our total liability for any other loss is limited to the fees you paid for the service in the 3 months before the event.
7. Your confirmation
7.1Before you connect a device on the Automation page, you confirm the statements shown there for the appliance type you choose.
7.2We store each confirmation: text version, time, account, device and appliance type. We ask again when the text changes or when you add or change a device. A confirmation covers the appliance as it was when you confirmed it.
8. Data
We process device IDs, settings and switching history to run the service, as described in our Privacy Policy.
9. Changes and ending
9.1You can stop using the service and disconnect your devices at any time.
9.2We may change these terms or the service with 30 days' notice. If you do not accept a change, you may end the service.
9.3We may stop switching a device that we reasonably consider unsafe or misused.
10. Law and contact
10.1Finnish law applies. This does not remove mandatory consumer rights in your country of residence.
10.2Contact: [email protected]. Consumers may also turn to the Finnish Consumer Disputes Board (kuluttajariitalautakunta).
