Show the electricity price on a Shelly plug: its light turns green, yellow or red with the price, and SaveElectro shows what your sauna costs, live. It can also give power only while electricity is cheap, so a battery charges at the right time by itself.
Live from SaveElectro. No login, no plug needed.
This is the number and colour a price light would show right now. The colour tells you at a glance whether it's a good moment to heat the sauna or run the washing machine.
Drag through an example winter day, then switch the sauna on.
Choose for each light. The colour always shows how cheap or expensive electricity is right now.
The exchange price for your area right now, incl. VAT, without transfer fees or your contract's margin. The same price as on saveelectro.com.
What one kWh really costs you now: the spot price plus your contract's margin, transfer fees and taxes, from your contract settings.
For an appliance such as the sauna: what a session would cost if you switched it on now, at your full price, with a cheaper time if there is one.
While the appliance is on: what this session has cost since it was switched on, measured by its Shelly meter.
Green = cheap, yellow = normal, red = expensive. Cyan = free electricity (0), purple = below zero; a slow pulse to green means free energy now. A fast purple and yellow blink = your full price is below zero.
Optional, on the free plan too: the plug gives power only while electricity is cheap — green or lime light, and of course free (cyan) or below zero (purple). Plug in a battery charger and it charges when electricity is cheap, by itself.
Power on while the light is green or lime (or cyan or purple), off at yellow, orange and red. Premium can also allow yellow.
Press the plug's button for power for 1 hour at any price. Need longer? Press again when the hour has passed. Then the price decides again.
When a charger has finished and draws almost nothing for ten minutes, the plug switches off.
No internet turns the light white within about two minutes; no fresh price for 30 minutes means power off. It never stays on by mistake.
For e-bike, scooter and tool batteries, phone and laptop chargers. Never for a fridge, freezer, washing machine or medical device. Read the manual
Copy the script, paste, done. No app to install and nothing to edit.
Step by step from the box: the Price Light manual. Or skip it all: get a ready-to-use plug.
No. In the standard mode it only shows the price or the cost: your sauna, its thermostat and its safety devices work exactly as before. The optional Power when cheap mode switches the plug's own socket, and it is meant only for things like battery chargers. Never use it for a sauna, a fridge or anything that must not lose power.
Yes: press the plug's button. It gives power for 1 hour at any price (Boost). Need longer? Press again when the hour has passed. Done sooner? Press again during the boost and the plug goes back to cheap hours. You can also boost from your phone on My price lights. The button works even without internet.
On rare nights the spot price falls far below zero. If it falls so low that your full price, including transfer fees and taxes, is below zero too, you are paid for the electricity you use. SaveElectro shows this only when your own full price is really negative. When just the spot price is zero or negative, it says the electricity itself is free, because you still pay transfer fees and taxes.

Not for the plug: you just plug it in. To see what the sauna has cost so far, the sauna needs a Shelly meter on its circuit, such as a Shelly PM Mini or Pro EM, and that must be installed by an electrician.
Spot prices for Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania, every quarter-hour. After you sign in, prices are shown in your own currency. Day/night tariffs and a clean-energy mode for fixed-price contracts are coming.
If the plug loses the internet, its light turns white within about two minutes, meaning “no fresh price”. While it reconnects, Shelly's own red or blue signals may flash briefly. It never keeps showing an old green while prices are high. In Power when cheap mode the plug also switches its power off after 30 minutes without a fresh price.
The script only reads your price from SaveElectro, sets the colour of the light and, only if you turn on Power when cheap, switches the plug's own socket. It contains your personal key, which you can replace at any time with “New key”.
